I met Gordon and his son at the border between Romania and Ukraine. Main target of the trip was the small village Makarov, near Kyiv. The place where their ancestors lived. And it would be a pity if we would not see places like Chernivtsi National University, Khotyn fortress, Kamianets-Podilskyi Castle, Grave of The Baal Shem Tov and main tourist sites in Kiev.
I was fortunate enough to be a guide for a wonderful family that came from Israel. They spend seven days in Ukraine. During this time we manage to visit Lviv, Drohobych, Truskavets, Bolekhiv, Yaremche, Verkhovyna, Chernivtsi, Kam'yanets'-Podil's'kyi, Chortkiv, Buchach, Ternopil and back to Lviv. The biggest surprise of the trip was they manage to find relatives in Ataky and Okopy.
I met this family in the resort town of Tatariv near Yaremche. Our trip was planned in advance, the family planned to visit places where their ancestor lived, villages Kosiv and Mykhailivka. We have allowed two days for this trip, because the villages were located at a considerable distance from each other. We also wanted to visit some places of interests that were on our route. Within two days we have seen many interesting places such as castle and city hall in Buchach, wooden churches and castle in Chortkiv, fortress in Khotyn. Our trip ended in Ternopil, from where they departed on the train to Kyiv.
Here is one of my custom tours with a family who came from Israel to make a tour of the heritage in the Western Ukraine and family research in Solobkivtsi. Baruch and Zohar spend 4 days in Ukraine. We travel from Lviv where I pick them up from the airport. We visit famous places in Western Ukraine particularly they were interested in Jewish heritage of Galicia. I drop them off in Khmelnitskiy where they took train to Kiev.
I had the opportunity to be a guide for a pleasant couple who came from Canada to do a family research. Jeneen is a professional researcher, she came to Ukraine to visit places where her family used to live. We spent five days traveling from town to town collecting different stories from neighbors and relatives.
Day trip with a pleasant family, who came from Germany. The main purpose of their trip was to see the Jewish places such as synagogues, cemeteries in Ternopil, Buchach, Chortkiv, Husyatyn and Kopychyntsi. We manage to see not only all those places but also castle in Buchach and wooden churches in Chortkiv.
I planned this six-day custom route for my client who wanted to see the most significant places in Ukraine. We cover many places in Central and Western Ukraine. We enjoyed seening the sights of Kiev, Lviv, Yaremche, Chernivtsi, Kam'yanets'-Podil's'kyi, Vinnytsia and other cities.
For days trip in Western Ukraine with Paul. Great man. He came from the US to see what was left of the castles that his family had in ancient times. From the past greatness of castles and palaces, there was almost nothing left, only ruins. We even meet a woman who still remembered the greatness of the castle in Wysuczka. She told us a story about a very kind noble family.
A three-day tour with a fascinating Jewish family who came from America to see where their ancestors lived before emigration. We managed to find a house where they lived in the city of Lviv. Also, we visited places related to the history of Jews. It was extremely difficult to visit places where tragic events took place. We all must remember and do our best to ensure that tragedies like the holocaust never happen again.
